John Wilkinson, Relationship Manager – Credit Unions, S&P Global Market Intelligence will lead a workshop on deriving customized information from the SNL Peer Analytics tools now available to all Association credit union employees. He will also review the Q1, 2016 Quarterly Report that was distributed in March.
Paramount Financial Institutions Group’s Michael Purchia and Joe Morrison will present the operating and financial case for downsizing or re-developing inefficient credit union administration facilities and branches. While credit union branches continue to play a key role in delivering member services, many branch transactions are migrating to self-service. Taking a fresh look at branch and administrative staffing models and under-utilized facilities should lead to 10% to 20% operating savings and significant capital recovery. Finally, Mark Ayers, CPA and Principal at Macpage LLC will bring everyone up to date on the latest exam trends, especially regarding IRR, CECL, and the impact of recent changes to the MBL Rule. Mark will also preview the latest IT Audit processes and if time allows, lead a discussion about the role of Non-Interest Income in credit unions’ long term strategy.
