The Cooperative Credit Union Association, Inc. invites all credit unions in Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island to participate in our annual Hike-the-Hill program to be held in Washington, DC on September 14-15, 2016. 

 

Meetings will take place at Credit Union House, where you will have the opportunity to be briefed by key credit union lobbyists on the current climate facing credit unions. In addition, participation in this program will enable you to discuss timely issues of importance with members of our Congressional Delegation and interact with their staff in a relaxed atmosphere and on a more personal level. Hike-the-Hill visits are part of our core advocacy platform on the national stage and complement the meetings held throughout the year and the work in local districts. Credit union leaders will have the opportunity for substantive conversations that will help shape the direction of legislative and regulatory proposals which will positively impact the future of the credit union movement.

 

Program participation is free. Each credit union is responsible for its own travel and accommodation arrangements and costs.
 

This year, our program will consist of a legislative, regulatory and grassroots briefing at Credit Union House beginning at 11:00 am on September 14 followed by hill visits. The program is estimated to conclude approximately at 5:00 pm at the end of the business day. All attendees are encouraged to continue the program by attending the complimentary optional group dinner hosted by the Association President/CEO Paul Gentile at McCormick and Schmick's Seafood and Steaks Restaurant. Please note that an NCUA Board meeting is presently scheduled on September 15 at the Agency’s offices in Alexandria beginning at 10:00 am and is an optional meeting to the program.
