Member Business Lending (MBL) is an area of credit union lending that can both diversify a credit union’s loan portfolio and increase a credit union’s return on assets.  In order to be successful in MBL, credit unions need to have highly qualified personnel who are skilled in analyzing the creditworthiness of MBL requests. The MBL Credit Analysis School has been designed to provide credit analysts and business lending officers with the tools necessary to perform in-depth evaluations of the credit needs of member businesses. During this program, attendees will become acquainted with the types of challenges that businesses face in making debt service payments and meeting other financial needs. The goal of this program is to develop analytical skills. At the conclusion of this program, attendees will be able to comprehend and discuss in-depth those subjects that need to be addressed as part of a  thorough credit analysis report. The MBL Credit Analysis School is designed as an interactive program which creates an environment in which students are empowered to learn.
