From Emergencies to Early Detection: HR as the Organization's PCP | November 18, 2025

Yvonne Alston from Indelible Impressions will be hosting:

Shifting from crisis mode to prevention and holistic care for yourself and employees.

In many organizations, HR is treated like the "emergency room" - called in to respond to crises, manage investigations, and patch up problems. While essential, this reactive model drains resources and leaves little space for building a thriving culture.
This workshop reframes HR, as the primary provider (PCP) of the organization- proactively preventing issues, promoting workforce health, and serving as a trusted partner to leadership. Participants will explore the difference between ER -style crisis management and PCP-style preventative care, analyze where their current HR practices fall on that spectrum, and evaluate which sifts will yield the greatest impact on engagement, culture, and retention.

After this session participants will be able to:

-Define ER vs PCP roles for HR and articulate why the shift matters

-Identify and prioritize opportunities to move from reactive to proactive, preventative practices

-Explain how culture is central to employe care and apply best practice "prescriptions"

-Analyze common HR processes to determine which strengthen prevention and their credit union's health.

You will leave inspired to serve as your credit union's PCP- building systems that keep the workplace well. Because when HR leads with prevention, care, and partnership, culture grows healthier, engagement strengthens, and employees thrive in an environment that supports their workplace wellness.

Session to be followed with Mike McKenna Diversified Private Markets and the Medicare Store to talk about HR's role and responsibility to their employees regarding Medicare.

There will also be time set aside for roundtable discussions with a reception following to catch up with your HR peers
